LewisGale Hospital Pulaski recently awarded the 2014 DAISY Team Award to the Surgical Services Unit. This is the first time the hospital has given out a team award. Previously, the DAISY award was only given to individual nurses for going above and beyond the call of duty.

Last month, LewisGale Hospital Alleghany presented four local charities each with a check for more than $600, the proceeds from its annual Christmas Bake Sale and Basket Raffle. The organizations included the Covington Food Pantry, the Clifton Forge Food Pantry, the Blue Ridge Cancer Center Volunteers and the Shenandoah Autism Center.
