LewisGale Cardiology Practice Once Again Achieves National Accreditation

For decades, Brent Chapman, M.D., has been a leader in cardiac care for Smith Mountain Lake and surrounding communities.  His Westlake practice, located in Moneta, offers high-quality care using some of the most advanced technology for detecting and managing heart disease including Echocardiography, also known as cardiac ultrasound.  That’s why it’s no surprise that his practice has once again earned national accreditation from the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL).

The ICAEL awarded Dr. Chapman’s practice a three-year term of accreditation in Echocardiography in the area of Adult Transthoracic.

“This accreditation is a gold seal of approval and means patients can trust they will always receive a national standard of care at my practice,” said Brent Chapman. “This nationally recognized care is available right in their community for their convenience."

Accreditation by the IAC means that LewisGale Physicians Westlake underwent a rigorous review of its operational and technical components and was found to provide quality patient care in compliance with national standards.
