Low Moor, VA, October, 2013 – One in eight women will get breast cancer in her lifetime. In honor of breast cancer awareness month, LewisGale Hospital Alleghany is offering Lunch with the Docs, a free program to educate women on the facts about breast cancer and the latest treatments available in our community. The event will feature surgeons Susan Kinnison, M.D. and Edward Stanton, M.D., FACS.
“Our goal is to provide women with the information they need to make the most informed decisions about their breast care,” said Greg Madsen, CEO, LewisGale Hospital Alleghany. “We want our patients to know they don’t have to travel outside of the community for expert care. Our hospital offers the latest in digital mammography and services from two of the most experienced surgeons in the region.
Dr. Kinnison has more than 12 years of surgical experience. She specializes in diagnosing and treating women with breast cancer. She attended medical school at Northeastern Ohio University and completed her residency at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
