Due to the recent fungal meningitis outbreak linked to steroid injections, we want you to know the following facts:
- This form of meningitis is NOT contagious. It is NOT spread from person to person.
- None of our hospitals, outpatient and imaging centers, or owned physician practices use the medication that’s been linked to this outbreak.
- Anyone who needs to see their doctor or go to an emergency room for any reason whatsoever (related to meningitis or not) should feel completely comfortable and safe doing so. They will not be at risk of catching meningitis.
