Teachers are essential to creating a better tomorrow. But teachers like Lewis-Gale Medical Center employee Judy Plemmons are also helping people live better today. As the coordinator for a diabetes education program at the Bradley Free Clinic, Judy is helping people learn about diabetes and how to cope with it. They’re learning how to eat right. How to exercise better. But Judy does more than just answer questions. She’s a comfort in the face of the unknown. She’s a friend. She’s a teacher. And we couldn’t think of a higher compliment than that.
