For the first time, this doctor became the patient.
For the first time in her life, Dr. Ojomo found herself in need of life-saving care. She had just left her granddaughter's birthday party when she started experiencing chest pain and shortness of breath. She truly felt she was going to die. She didn't want to go anywhere else but "her" hospital, LewisGale Hospital Pulaski, where she serves as the Chief of Staff and as a Radiation Oncologist with Blue Ridge Cancer Care. Even though the ER staff had no idea who she was at the time, Dr. Ojomo was impressed by the excellent care she received. It was the first time she had put her life in someone else's hands.
