Blacksburg, VA, July, 2013 – The Graduate Medical Education Program at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery is pleased to announce the appointment of two new directors to its residency programs, William Cox, D.O., and Amy Doolan, D.O.

Dr. Cox has accepted the position of Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. He is a graduate of the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a three-year residency at New York Hospital Queens. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and is currently a Hospitalist at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery where he serves as Chief of the Department of Medicine.

Dr. Doolan has accepted the position of Associate Program Director of the Family Medicine Residency program. She is graduate of the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her three-year residency at the The Carilion Clinic Family Medicine Residency Program. She subsequently completed a Fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr.Doolan is board certified in Family Medicine and practices at Academic Primary Care Associates in Blacksburg.  She is also a faculty member of VCOM and the Sports Medicine Department at Virginia Tech.
