Roanoke, VA, March, 2012 – When it comes to caring for patients, LewisGale Imaging Center Brambleton has met or exceeded national standards for quality and safety. The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the leading accreditor of healthcare organizations in America, recently awarded the imaging center with its Gold Seal of Approval™ for its advanced diagnostic imaging services.
“This accreditation means patients can trust they will always receive the highest level of care at our imaging center,” said Mike Stoots, Director of Diagnostic Imaging. “We went through a rigorous evaluation process to achieve this distinction and it further exemplifies our commitment to excellence in patient care.”
The accreditation process included an unannounced on-site survey by The Joint Commission to evaluate compliance with several performance standards aimed at improving patients’ outcomes. Those standards focused on several key areas including environment of care, performance improvement, emergency management, infection control and prevention, and administration of care.
