Low Moor, VA, September 2015 – LewisGale Hospital Alleghany invites the public to attend its upcoming Community Event on Saturday, September 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the hospital grounds. The event will feature free health screenings, educational booths, and fun activities for children.
The community will also have the opportunity to tour the newly renovated Imaging and Emergency departments including the hospital’s new Wide Bore MRI. This advanced technology provides accurate, high-resolution images for more precise diagnoses. The Wide Bore MRI can also accommodate larger framed patients and those who have a fear of confined spaces.
Other event highlights include:

- Information on healthcare programs at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College
- Information on organ donation
- Childhood obesity education
- Needle disposal available
- Car seat safety checks
- Free food, including ice cream
