Children and teens may need orthopedic treatment for broken bones, growth plates and movement disorders. Our board-certified pediatric orthopedic specialists are known not only for exceptional medical treatment, but also for their sensitivity towards young patients. Our program focuses on returning your child to their typical, day-to-day life.

Foot and ankle care

Foot specialists — also referred to as podiatrists — understand that living with foot and ankle pain can be difficult. They evaluate your unique situation to provide you with an accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment for your condition. This treatment plan is designed to help you regain mobility as quickly, safely and comfortably as possible. We will diligently work with you to ensure that your needs are met and the condition is corrected.

Hand and upper extremity care

Our orthopedic care specialists are experts at diagnosing and treating hand and upper extremely conditions. These are conditions that impact your hand, wrist, arm, elbow and shoulder. Our teams will review your function and movement and provide the best treatment options available, including nonsurgical therapies.

Joint care and replacements

Joints include your wrists, your ankles, your knees, your shoulders — any place where two bones meet and move. Many people of all ages experience joint pain from exercise, repeated movement, arthritis and other forms of strain or inflammation. Our team of joint specialists will work with you to find a care plan that works for you, be it splinting or bracing, rehabilitation or surgical intervention.

Some of our joint surgical specialties include:

  • Arthroscopic reconstruction
  • Direct anterior hip replacement
  • Hip resurfacing
  • Microsurgery of the hand
  • Robot-assisted hip replacement surgery
  • Total or partial joint replacement of the hip, knee or shoulder

In addition to surgery, we offer dedicated total joint replacement patient care teams that provide classes before your surgery. This ensures you have the best surgical experience possible. We also offer access to occupational and physical therapy clinicians who can get you on the road to recovery.

Hip care

Our hip specialists work together to provide high-quality hip care. From hip replacements to postoperative (after surgery) therapy, our experience and expertise translates into less pain and a faster recovery for you.

We try our best to relieve hip pain with nonsurgical methods; however, when hip pain is severe and interferes with daily activities and work, joint replacement may be an option.

Signs that you should be evaluated for a hip replacement include:

  • Hip pain that persists or prevents you from sleeping
  • Hip pain that is not relieved through medication
  • Hip pain that keeps you from being as mobile as you’d like to
  • Hip aching during and after exercise
  • Hip stiffness or swelling

Knee care

Your knee is a complex joint with many components, making it vulnerable to a variety of injuries. The most common knee injuries include fractures, dislocations, sprains and ligament, tendon or meniscus tears. Many knee injuries can be successfully treated with simple measures, such as bracing and rehabilitation exercises, while other injuries may require surgery.

If surgery is necessary, our orthopedic surgeons are experienced in all types of procedures, including partial and total knee replacements.

Spine care

Your spine is the foundation of your skeletal system. When you are dealing with chronic back or neck pain, it can easily exhaust you and keep you from enjoying day-to-day life. Our orthopedic spine surgeons and neurosurgeons work together to treat conditions in adults and children by performing specialized spine surgeries and procedures, including:

  • Artificial cervical disc implantation
  • Digital biplane angiography
  • Kyphoplasty
  • Microdiscectomy
  • Spinal fusion
  • Vertebroplasty

Our orthopedic doctors and surgeons use both nonsurgical methods and minimally invasive surgery to increase precision and reduce pain and recovery time. Our goal is to get you back to your life as soon as possible.

Sports medicine

With one of the state's largest sports medicine programs, we are able to effectively treat conditions that range from ankle pain to concussions. Our team of orthopedic surgeons, primary care physicians, physical therapists, athletic trainers and sports performance specialists offer care for both individuals and entire teams, and we offer customized plans to help you return to an active lifestyle.

We offer extensive and advanced sports medicine programs. They give you access to indoor and outdoor training equipment, including therapy pools, a 35-yard turf field and an 80-yard track. We also offer a concussion therapy program to help you recover from sports-related head injuries.

Orthotics

In some cases, orthotics, or external braces or supports, may be the solution for joint pain or mobility issues. Our orthotics programs provide extensive assessment and customization for orthotics. This includes knee braces, shoe inserts and other forms of physical support for your body. They will help you find comfort in your day-to-day activities again.
